How to produce PVC flex banner

The flexible banner production process involves several steps, which may vary depending on the specific method used (squeegee, calendering, or lamination).

Generally speaking, the production process of flexible banners mainly has the following stages:

1. Preparation of raw materials

This involves mixing PVC (polyvinyl chloride) resin with other additives such as plasticizers, stabilizers, and pigments to create the desired characteristics of the banner.

2. Coating or bonding the PVC mixture to the base fabric

This step depends on the specific production method used.

The scraper is to apply the PVC slurry evenly on the base cloth with a reverse scraper.

During the calendering process, the PVC compound is bonded to the base fabric using high-temperature hot rolls.

In lamination, two layers of PVC film are bonded together with a network of optical fibers in between.

3. Drying and curing

The coated or bonded PVC material then goes through a drying process to remove any residual moisture and ensure adequate bonding of the PVC and base fabric.

4. Cooling and forming

After drying, the material is cooled and formed into the final flexible banner shape.

5. Cutting and Finishing

Cut the finished flexible banner material to size and apply any necessary finishing touches such as hemming or adding grommets.

6. Quality Control

The final flexible banners are inspected for defects or inconsistencies before packaging and shipping to customers.
